Presidential Elections

June 27, 2008

Been hearing some nasty things about Obama. Well it does give one pause to think about who we are willing to elect and what we are will to forgive in a president. Most all if not all candidates lie to get into office, but what are most people willing to over look and vote for a person anyway?  I don’t know what Obama will do once elected, and only a slightly better idea of what McCain will do. I definitely don’t like some of the positions McCain has on Net Neutrality and he  is of the same party as Bush.  And we all know how well he is doing.  Obama has been called by someone I know as the Anti-Christ. Is that a bit much? Maybe, but does it make one want to take a closer look at him before election time. It’s a good idea to do your homework on something like this. I would also say the same thing for McCain, Both men should be scrutinized carefully. And the best person for the job should be elected. But how does one make an educated decision when there is a lot of trash talking and a shortage of truth or facts. I am frustrated in always trying to select the lesser of two evils when it comes to the presidential elections. Running for president is more about making money then serving your country now a days. Some have run not only for the money but also to push some kind of agenda. I was sure who I was going to vote for earlier in the year. Now I’m not sure, both candidates seem to be poor choices. I could vote for the party I’m currently registered in as a default vote, or switch maybe to the Independent vote. More homework will have to be done before I make up my mind. The person we elect will be running the country for at least the next 4 years. It’s going to be a tough time in our history with the war on terror, the war in Iraq, the economy, gas prices and so much more. Let’s hope we get it right this time, for all our sakes.
