Ubuntu Linux

I wouldn’t mind installing Ubuntu on my system if they supported I-Tunes and a couple of other programs I can’t live with out. I’m waiting for the day when that happens than I’ll switch over. I like the whole idea of open source and the community support for Linux. It is one thing Microsoft could learn a lesson from. Also Apple for that matter. Both Microsoft and Apple could make a Linux operating system of there own and let it be open source and it would be great. Oh well, that’s what you get for dreaming.

Windows Vista

Don’t you hate it when it’s the first time you early adopt a peace of software and it turns out to be Windows Vista. Now it’s not that I think Vista is a bad program. I just think after the amount of time spent on it, well it should be a whole lot better. Not to mention All the people and businesses are staying away from it like the plague. Even Intel is planning on staying with XP and they are always on board with Microsoft. Over all it’s a pretty peace of software.  Only problems I have with it are the Bloat and the incompatibility. The Bloat is typical Microsoft, Why have one page of code when you can do the same job with 8 pages. But the lack of compatible software and hardware is not good. On it’s release after I installed it I couldn’t get I-Tunes to work, a game I was into and some DVD Burning software that worked great with my DVD burner. Those are just a few of them, there are more. I-Tunes I really needed for my I-Touch and not having it work was not an option. I do hope when Microsoft comes out with Windows 7 they’ll do right buy all those people who bought Windows Vista.  Especially the ones who forked out 400 clams for Vista Ultimate.
